Technology leadership / operations / transformation

Ryan Turnbull

Technology & IT Operations Leader

I lead technology functions and transformation programmes that make businesses easier to run, safer to change and better able to grow.

Over more than 15 years, I have worked across the whole estate: infrastructure, service operations, data, cloud, applications, ecommerce, fulfilment and cybersecurity. That breadth lets me move from the executive decision to the delivery detail without losing sight of either.

I do my best work when the systems have history, the business is moving quickly and someone needs to turn a knot of platforms, suppliers, risk and priorities into a clear plan that actually lands.

I built this site because a two-page CV is useful, but it leaves out the interesting part: the decisions, trade-offs and working style behind the results.

Strategy matters. Strategy that survives BAU matters more.

How I lead

Clear outcomes. Direct conversations.

Enough structure to move confidently without pretending every answer is already known. I set a clear bar, give capable people room to work and stay close enough to remove obstacles before they become theatre.
