The challenge

The business needed better reporting from Dynamics 365 and Dataverse, alongside applications and workflows tailored to customer needs that could not be met through out-of-the-box configuration alone. The solution also had to protect production security, performance and operational stability, remain maintainable and support controlled end-to-end deployment.

What I delivered

  • Built Dynamics 365 apps and packaged solutions around customer-specific operational and reporting requirements.
  • Designed custom pages and applied business rules and platform customisations so user journeys matched the way customers worked.
  • Developed JavaScript extensions, add-ons and web resources to enhance page behaviour and deliver functions beyond standard Dynamics 365 capabilities.
  • Provisioned a dedicated Dynamics 365 and Dataverse reporting environment and validated security roles, data-copy options and SQL/TDS endpoint access.
  • Connected Power BI and developed an embedded reporting application using React and Power BI Embedded.
  • Designed identity and access patterns with Microsoft Entra ID and Azure App Service authentication, integrating the Node.js/Express layer with the Dataverse Web API and reporting queries.
  • Managed the complete solution lifecycle from requirements and design through build, testing, UAT, controlled deployment, documentation, handover and support ownership.
